Wreck In Canton Sends 2 To Hospital

A man and woman were transported to an area hospital after they were involved in an accident along RiverStone Parkway at Waleska Road late Monday morning.

Two people were treated for injuries they suffered in an accident in Canton late Monday morning.

Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services and the Canton Fire Department responded a call at around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Waleska Road and RiverStone Parkway.

First responders arrived and found a white Chrysler Town and Country minivan resting on its top.

The accident, which also involved a red Ford Probe, was initially reported as one with an entrapment, but the drivers and passengers were able to extricate themselves from the vehicles.

There were five occupants in the Chrysler minivan and two of those occupants — a 45-year-old male driver and a 53-year-old female passenger, were both complaining of neck and back pain.
