Creekview Wrestlers Take Third At Walton Duals
Walton High School hosted one of the season's main events in Marietta today. Eight local teams battled it out for position in the new 2012-13 season.
Eight teams and 4 matches each led to a Pope Greyhounds victory on Saturday. The Greyhounds went undefeated in the contest. Creekview started strong with a 57-18 victory over McEachern. The middle of the Grizzlies lineup came on strong with 6 pins to assure the win. Austin Collett (145 lbs), Justin Pettyjohn (152), Hunter Smith (160), Hunter Udall (170), Joseph Sorrentino (182) and Christian Saragusa (220) all put their opponents on the mat in the first or second period. Creekview's second opponent, Pope, was the biggest challenge of the day. The Grizzlies battled, but fell 16-52 to the Greyhounds.
