Should Gov. Nathan Deal Take Sides on Integrated Prom?

A nonprofit organization is taking Gov. Nathan Deal to task for his neutral position on teens in Wilcox County, Ga., organizing an integrated prom.

Better Georgia, a progressive nonprofit organization, is criticizing Gov. Nathan Deal for "not taking sides" on an effort by four teenage girls to organize its first integrated prom in Wilcox County, Georgia. Gov. Nathan Deal was asked last week whether he'd supported the high school students' efforts, which he declined through a spokesman.  "This is a leftist front group for the state Democratic party and we're not going to lend a hand to their silly publicity stunt," Spokesman Brian Robinson said

Deal needs to get his head focused on economic issues and shut up. Having said that he really cant do much for the economy either since he was bankrupt and obviously cant manage his own finances. Im a republican and while the guy seems like an ok person, he is no leader and no example. VIDEO: Gov. Deal Visits Canton

The governor's daughter is performing in a play at the Canton Theatre this weekend.

Gov. Nathan Deal received a warm welcome from Canton and Cherokee County dignitaries on the occasion of his visit to the Canton Theatre on Feb. 7. Deal was presented a gift basket containing products made in Georgia and Cherokee County by Canton's mayor Gene Hobgood. Katie Deal Wright, the daughter of Deal and his wife, is performing in "Today, Tomorrow & Forever:  A Tribute to Patsy Cline" at the Canton Theatre on Feb. 8-9 at 7:30 p.m.
