Two Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash in Canton
Two men were injured when three vehicles collided on Marietta Highway near Knox Bridge Highway/Highway 20 in Canton.
Two men suffered minor injuries in a three-vehicle accident in Canton. Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services and the Canton Fire Department both responded to the accident at roughly 4:45 p.m. on Marietta Highway near its intersection with Knox Bridge Highway/Highway 20 in the city limits. The accident involved a red Dodge Neon, a white Chevrolet Tahoe and a white Toyota SUV. The passenger in the Dodge Neon, a 35-year-old male, had to be removed from the vehicle using Jaws of Life equipment. The passenger, along with the 25-year-old male driver, complained of head and neck injuries and were both transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta. We have been involved in two accidents at this same location. The problem seems to be the people turning into Racetrac getting the clear sign for one lane that is stopped for the light and assuming no traffic is coming for the lane that traffic keeps flowing because they are not required to stop at the light. They continue on down Knox Bridge.   more ›
