Arrests Made in Cemetery Thefts
Arnold Fricks and Dustin Chastain are both from Canton.
Two Canton men have been arrested in connection with thefts from a cemetery and a youth baseball concession stand. Arnold Fricks was arrested on Monday and Dustin Chastain was arrested on Tuesday, said Lt. Jay Baker, spokesman for the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office. Accused of stealing eight brass vases from the Macedonia Memorial Park Cemetery between May 13 and May 17, Fricks, 23, was charged with felony theft by taking and burglary. During that same time frame, he allegedly entererd the Macedonia baseball concession stand and stole baseball equipment, apparel, an iPod docking station and a first aid kit.
