At 2 p.m. today, Regions Bank will close its West Main Street branch. In August, area president Bill Linginfelter told customers that the bank decided to combine that branch with the South Canton Branch at 2653 Marietta Hwy. "We are continually evaluating our banking network to be sure we invest our resources where customers use them the most," he wrote in a letter to clients. Regions Bank officials this week notified customers that the Downtown branch will close at 2 p.m. Dec. 9 as part of a merger with the South Canton location on Marietta Highway.
