Recycle Your Christmas Tree and Get Free Mulch

The Bring One For The Chipper campaign has started in Cherokee County, and residents can take their trees to be chipped into mulch.

Looking for a way to dispose of your Christmas tree? Cherokee County residents can now bypass tossing Christmas tress into the garbage by taking advantage of the Bring One For The Chipper campaign. Already in full swing, the initiative allows residents to drop off their trees to be recycled into mulch. The mulch is used for many public beautification projects, according to Keep Georgia Beautiful, which is sponsoring the campaign with 11 Alive, The Home Depot, Davey Tree & Lawn Care and Earth 911.  Locations where Cherokee residents can drop off their trees include Hobgood Park, Sequoyah Park, Boling Park in Canton, Holly Springs Public Works facility at 100 Hickory Circle, Olde Rope Mill Park in Woodstock and Ball Ground Community Center …
