This is a part-time, contract based paid internship, which could be ideal for college students or recent grads. Qualified candidates will have a proven track record of creating and building a presence on Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, or any other social media platform. New School Provides Alternative for Cherokee

Still looking for a private school in Cherokee County? Brenwood Academy is taking applications for students in kindergarten through second grade.

Cherokee Charter Academy isn't the only new school in the county slated to open in August. When Brenwood Academy makes its debut next school year, it will join American Heritage Academy as one of a few secular private schools in the area. "Cherokee County is ready for other choices in education," said Mary Dean Townsend, who was recently named head of school. "The more choices, the better.” Brenwood, which will serve students from kindergarten through fifth grade, is part of The Kid Connection, a 20-year-old child development center with locations in Hickory Flat, Holly Springs and Macedonia.
