We are frequent customers of this Cracker Barrel & for the most part we are always very pleased with the service & the food, this past Saturday though we had the most humiliating & horrible experience happen to us, our server was a man named David, he was rude from the start, he greeted us by telling us he was our server but had a table in front of us so service would be slow, then he proceeded to take our drink orders, when he returned with our drinks he began to "toss" the straws at us, one almost hitting my moms face & he said "oh, sorry, i'm just a little tired I have two jobs and well you know how it is" at that point I was so shocked at his behavior I looked at him & asked "Did you seriously just throw the straw at my moms face?!, he was like "Yeah, its no big deal.." At that point we asked to speak to the manager. The server continued to talk saying "um, it's not a big deal" - He never apologized or even showed any regret for his behavior. The manager, Scott came out & we told him what had happened, he apologized but didn't offer to move us or to have another server help us, so we just left. I believe the server had some sort of prejudice or stereotypical point of view of my family as we are a beautiful Mexican American family & my husband is African American, with all of sensationalized news about undocumented immigrants & stereotypes of Latin people, some people think we are all criminals or not American, sadly forgetting we are all human and deserve respect.
