Project Valentine, Unity Breakfast This Week in Canton

We have the rundown on what's happening this week in Canton.

As you get back into the groove of the work week, Canton-Sixes Patch will keep you updated on what's happening this week in Canton:

  • The Canton Main Street Program will hold its monthly meeting at 8 a.m. Tuesday at Canton Fire Department's headquarters at 190 West Main Street. This month's session will feature Fire Chief Dean Floyd, who will discuss fire inspections.
  • The annual MLK Unity Breakfast, hosted by Cherokee County and Allen Temple AME Church, will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday Jan. 18 at the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Conference Center. The event is free and open to the public.
  • For all you procrastinators, you can still recycle your Christmas tree! Stop by Hobgood Park or Sequoyah Park between now and Jan. 31 to recycle those trees.
  • Project Valentine is asking residents to donate candy and toiletries items that will be distributed to senior citizens at two nursing facilities. 
  • The Sequoyah Regional Library System has a slew of story time activities set for this week at its Cherokee County libraries.
