Early Voting, Library Book Sale This Week in Canton

We have the rundown on what's happening this week in Canton.

As you get back into the groove of the work week, Canton-Sixes Patch will keep you updated on what's happening this week in Canton:

    • Early voting starts tomorrow for the House District 22 runoff. Residents in the district can vote Tuesday Jan. 21 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Wednesday Jan. 22-Friday Jan. 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday Jan. 27-Friday Jan. 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Cherokee County Elections and Voter Registration office in downtown Canton. 
    • The Friends of the Library will hold a book sale at R.T. Jones Memorial Library on Friday Jan. 24 at 10 a.m. A preview sale for members only will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday Jan. 23.
    • You can still register for eighth annual Guns & Hoses 5K, which is a friendly competition between the Cherokee Sheriff's Office and Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services. This year's run will raise money for the Goshen Valley Boys Ranch. 
    • Project Valentine is asking residents to donate candy and toiletries items that will be distributed to senior citizens at two nursing facilities.
