Action Church Opens Warming Shelter Tuesday Night
The Canton church will open its doors at 5 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.
A Canton church will once again open its doors to those who need protection from the cold blast expected to come into the Cherokee County tonight.
Aciton Church will open at 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 25 and volunteers will serve dinner at 6:30 p.m.
The church is located at 271 Marietta Road in Canton.
The church opens its doors any time temperatures are expected to drop below 25 degrees Fahrenheit. Tonight, the National Weather Service predicts temperatures in Cherokee County will hover in the mid 20s.
Winds are expected to come from the northwest at 15 to 20 miles per hour, and decreasing to 5 to 10 miles per hour after midnight. However, wind gusts are expected to be as high as 30 miles per hour.
