Volunteers Needed for Boling Park Cleanup

You can help clean up storm damage from the park.

A local Boy Scouts of America troop needs your help to clear fallen trees from Boling Park.

Dan Owen of BSA Troop 241 wants to get a group of people assembled to clear the trail at the park and will be operating about a quarter mile down the river from the park.

The trees were knocked over during the recent severe weather in the Canton area.

Owen hopes to have a team assembled at the back of the park at 9 a.m. Saturday. The team is expected to include parents of the Boy Scouts who will be operating chainsaws to help clear the downed trees.

The focus of the work will be Trace trail, but if enough people show up to form teams, work can also be done on the Red, Yellow and Orange trails.

To lean more on the cleanup and how you can get involved, please contact Dan Owen at 770-363-2190 or lindanowen99@windstream.net.
