Better to Give

These local schools, some of them in Canton-Sixes Patch's coverage area, made Christmas possible for those in need.

From monetary donations to toy drives, employees and students did their part to spread a little holiday cheer.

  • The Student Government Association gave presents to needy local students who were identified by participating schools. Once identified, the students were asked what they wanted for Christmas. “This program is sponsored annually by SGA and adds extra meaning and joy for all at Creekview High School knowing they will brighten a child’s Christmas morning with something special under the tree,” said Dr. Bob Eddy, the principal of Creekview.
  • Career & Technical Instruction students raised $764.71 for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta through a penny wars contest.
  • Cherokee High's sophomore Student Government Association members donated 100 coats to MUST Ministries in Canton. Class president Brandon Roberts collected 50 by himself.
