The Cherokee Arts Center has a unique opportunity for your budding stars.

Our six and seven year-old just finished a week of Camp Imagine-Drama, with Tisha Gotte and her two theatrical assistants, Aaron and Ashley Gotte.  Each afternoon this past week was a journey into another world for our children.  From outer space, Mexico, to a pirate ship, and even an indian village, each day was a new theme, a new adventure, and a lot of fun, allowing them to explore the basics of acting, while doing arts, crafts, and making friends.  By the final day, and the performance of the skit they had been working on all week, the children were so disappointed that it was the last day.

A professional photographer came to do individual and entire cast shots, as well as the random photos that were taken through out the week.  We walked out of the final performance with handfuls of take home projects that were completed during the course of the half-day camp.  Each day, my children talked non-stop about what they did, what their new friends did, what costumes they tried on, what songs they learned, how they were learning to play the bells, about the rehearsal process, tongue twisters, etc.  Mrs. Gotte has an amazing way of relating and encouraging each of the children, and they all loved being with her.
