Ribbon Cutting for Blankets Creek Bike Trails Next Week

There is a brand new look to the park, including new restrooms and a paved entrance.

The renovated Blankets Creek Mountain Bike trails will be the star attraction at a ribbon cutting that will be held early next week.

Representatives from the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners, Cherokee Recreation & Parks Agency, the Woodstock chapter of the Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association (SORBA) and the Chamber of Commerce will be at the park at 2125 Sixes Rd. in Canton on Tuesday, June 25 at 10:30 a.m. to symbolically open the new mountain biking trails.

Some of the improvements at the facility include an increased-capacity parking lot, a re-aligned and paved entrance, four brand new restrooms/changing rooms, two new pavilions, a bike wash station, and landscape and hardscape improvements.
