Heavy Rain Turns to Drier Weather by Midweek

As the threat of afternoon rain and storms continued Monday, the forecasters at the National Weather Service were calling from some relief from the wet weather by mid-week.

According to the forecast for Canton, heavy rain and thunderstorms were likely Monday afternoon and night, with rain chances falling to 30 percent by Wednesday when highs could reach near 90.
