Friday Football Preview: Warriors Face Angry Trojans

Cherokee is on the road while Creekview is at home.

Cherokee (1-5, 0-2) at Lassiter (4-1, 0-1) – did not start Region 5-AAAAA play last week the way it would have liked – a 24-point loss to rival Walton. Tonight the Trojans host , a team that’s lost five straight after winning its season opener. This region matchup is important for both teams as they are the only remaining winless teams early in region play. Lassiter is averaging 30 points per game while Cherokee just scores 10 per game. For the Warriors to keep pace with Lassiter, the offensive game plan must open up.

South Forsyth (2-3, 2-3) at Creekview (1-5, 1-5) – hasn’t had much luck after winning its season opener over Sequoyah. The Grizzlies have lost five straight and are scoring just 19 points per game, while giving up 29. South Forsyth is also giving up more points that its scoring, so getting on the board early and often will benefit Creekview greatly.
