Creekview Starts Season With An Easy Win Over Cambridge

Wednesday marked the opening of the season for Creekview Grizzlies wrestling. They were hosted by the Cambridge Bears who were defeated 52-20 by Creekview.

The Grizzlies looked strong in their season opener against the Bears.

Sophmore Justin Goss (Weight 126 lbs) started off with a pin over Ryan Hoff.  After a close contest that resulted in a 2-0 loss for Senior Michael Edwards (138lbs), Creekview swept the middle weights with pins by Austin Collett (145lbs), Justin Pettyjohn (152lbs), Hunter Smith (160lbs) and Michael Crafton (170lbs).

Christian Saragusa (220lbs) picked the action back up with a pin in 32 seconds over Edward Aganou of Cambridge.

Brock Tupman (285lbs) battled heavyweight Kryshna Tanksley for almost three full periods to get the pin at 5:34.

Freshman Ryan Camp (106lbs) easily defeated Jared Kelly with a pin in 41 seconds followed by a major decision by Grizzly Freshman Grant Slater (113lbs) over Christopher Anderson.

The Grizzlies prospects look good for next Wednesday at Osborne High School as the Grizzlies battle Osborne and Sprayberry.
