Ready for Some Football

With a change from 4AAAA to 5AAAAA looming, the Creekview Grizzlies football program has been working hard this spring.

High school football may be months away, but the are working as hard as they would in the fall. Recently, a Lift-A-Thon gave players a chance to showcase the strength that has been developed in the team's daily "Breakfast Club" program. They work out every morning before classes. The top athletes had combined squat, bench and power totals of close to 1,000 pounds. The Lift-A-Thon champion was Grant Rhodes, closely followed by Joseph Sorrentino and Logan Ridings.

Friday was the Blue and White scrimmage game. This culmination of spring training effort pitted the Grizzly players against each other. A great offensive game with equally matched defenses resulted in a 22-14 win for the Blue Grizzlies over the White Grizzlies.

Workouts will continue over the summer. The Grizzlies plan to be ready for 5AAAAA this fall.
