Uncle Maddio's To Open Canton Location

Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint will open in Canton Marketplace shopping center on Saturday, July 5.

Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint, a fast-growing pizza franchise, will continue its expansion in Georgia by opening its 14th location in Canton.

The restaurant will open at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 5 at 2026 Cumming Highway, adjacent to the Canton Marketplace Shopping Center.

To celebrate the grand opening, the team at the new location will serve free 9-inch, three topping, fully-customizable pizzas to all customers in line at 11:00 a.m. Saturday. One patron in line will be awarded pizza for a year, the company said in a press release.

The Canton location will be the second in Cherokee County. The Woodstock located, located on Highway 92 east of Interstate 575, opened in 2011.

Uncle Maddio’s franchise operating partners Kevin and Susan Johnston bring more than sixty years of combined professional experience in hospitality, Corporate Real Estate and medical education to their new family-owned business. Kevin is the vicce president and general manager of Low Country Catering (formerly Low Country BBQ) in Atlanta, and Susan has experience as a registered nurse and clinical medical educator.  

They are working with an experienced team, led by General Manager Christie Jones, a veteran of the Five Guys organization. Assistant General Manager Josh Johnston rounds out the dedicated team with his 18 years in restaurant operations management, primarily working with Schlotzkey’s Deli.

“We have an experienced, dynamic team ready to introduce Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint to Canton,” said Kevin Johnston, Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint franchise operating partner. “By offering a premium fast-casual dining experience, individualized pizzas, paninis and salads, fresh locally-sourced produced, and house-prepared sauces, meatballs, dressings and more – we are truly bringing something new, unique and game-changing to our booming suburban community.” 

Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint features fresh ingredients including locally-grown vegetables available to top customized pizza, salad and panini creations. Uncle Maddio’s features create-your-own 9-inch individual pizza with up to three toppings, baked to order, for $6.99.

Guests choose one of three crusts, including traditional, whole wheat and gluten-free, and 48 topping choices, which include six exclusively made sauces, 27 vegetables and 15 meats. For those with dietary restrictions or specifications, Uncle Maddio’s serves up healthful options like whole wheat and gluten-free crusts, hormone-free chicken, fresh local vegetables, Daiya vegan cheese and organic greens.
