Canton-Based Chocolate Company Buys Cupcake Shop

Bella Dolci LLC has acquired Woodstock-based Cupcakelicious.

A Canton-based company has purchased a business in downtown Woodstock.

Bella Dolci has acquired Cupcakelicious, which has a store at 8654 Main Street and in the foot court at the Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta. The closing took place on Dec. 23, and the acquisition is now in effect.

“I wanted to turn my business over to new owners who would love and grow Cupcakelicious as we did, taking it to even greater levels of success in downtown Woodstock," said Cupcakelicious owner Lee Staten. "Toni Tortorici and Bella Dolci are the perfect combination to make that happen."

"We plan to build on the wonderful beginnings that Lee and her team were able to engender," Tortorici added.

Tortorici noted Cupcakelicious' name and primary products won't change. However, there are plans to add other sweets, baker and ice cream products and Bella Dolci products to the menu line-up.
