OfficeMax Surprises Liberty ES Teacher

Tuesday, 1,000 teachers across the country received $1,000 worth of classroom supplies as part of the company's "A Day Made Better" program.

The surprises kept coming Tuesday for first-grade teacher Laura Akers.

"OfficeMax sent a team with flowers, a new chair, printer and big orange box of classroom supplies (including a digital camera, binders, copy paper and other goodies) to surprise Akers," spokeswoman Barbara Jacoby said.

The first-grade teacher was one of 1,000 educators nationwide to receive $1,000 worth of supplies from OfficeMax's "A Day Made Better" program.
