Marlow Running for School Board

The BridgeMill mother has been one of the most vocal supporters of Cherokee Charter Academy.

Kelly Marlow, the BridgeMill mother who was one of the , announced today that she is running for a spot on the .

"I am excited to enter the arena," she said in a statement. "I look forward to a campaign discussing the issues facing our schools, including financial priorities, education options and uniting our schools and communities with the single goal of providing the best educational experience possible for our children."

Marlow is running for Post 1, which takes in BridgeMill, , , and parts of the Holly Springs, Toonigh and Univeter areas.

Critics of House Bill 978, which reconfigures school board posts and changes the way voters elect board members, have alleged the for the .
