BOE to Approve 2012-13 Budget

Speaking of the , the BOE will meet at 7 p.m. tonight to approve its Fiscal Year 2012-13 budget. The $518.7 million budget is approximately $9 million less than the school system’s budget for 2011-12. The school system will have to take approximately$15 million out of its reserves to balance the budget. Return to Canton-Sixes Patch on Thursday for details.

3. John Carson Bryant, the Cherokee man with Alzheimer's who had not been seen since Thursday, has been found safe, the spokesman for the  said Tuesday afternoon.

4. The  has made another arrest in connection with a theft in BridgeMill. Kristina Garcia, 22, of Waleska, was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with three counts of financial transaction fraud and entering auto, said Lt. Jay Baker, spokesman for the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.

5. The  football team recently participated in the annual Iron Man competition to see where players stood physically for the upcoming season. Creekview parent Matt Sorrentino shared those photos from the competition with Canton-Sixes Patch.
