Hunter's Accomplishments: The freshman is already making his mark in high school by excelling in the hardest classes offered him—two Advanced Placement and all honors classes.

"He is a joy to have in class because he is a deep thinker who is not afraid to voice his opinions," said Hunter's English teacher, Susan Buice. "He adds great insight into our class discussions. He loves to learn and his eagerness for knowledge comes across in all that he does."

Hunter is currently playing on the freshman basketball team. In the fall, he played on the freshman football team. Hunter is also very involved with his youth group at Canton First United Methodist Church.

"He is one of the most well rounded young men I know," Buice said. "I can't wait to see what the future holds for him."

Hunter's Key to Awesomeness: "Hunter is intelligent, polite, kindhearted, compassionate, strong in character, and absolutely hilarious," said his mother, Mallie Fisher, who can be pretty witty herself. "If Hunter hadn't been so much fun from the start, I wouldn't have had three more boys."

All joking aside, the mother of four is "extremely proud" of all the hard work her eldest son has put into his school work. "As a parent," she said, "there is no greater joy than watching your child develop his God-given gifts and talents as he entertains the rest of us along the journey. I am proud of the young man that stands before me today."

Hunter lives with his mother, grandmother Becky Willis and three younger brothers in the Great Sky community.
