Golfers Can Tee Up For Cherokee Football

The Cherokee High School's Touchdown Club will hold its annual charity golf tournament in May.

Cherokee's passionate golfers will have less than two months to show their support of a local high school's football team.

The Cherokee High School's Touchdown Club will hold its annual charity golf tournament on Frdiay, May 2 at the BridgeMill Athletic Club in Canton. The tournament will get underway at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start.

The athletic club is at 1190 BridgeMill Avenue.

Money raised at the tournament will fund the Cherokee High School football program.

"The golf tournament is our most successful fundraiser and one in which our players don't have to participate," Cherokee High School's Head Varsity Football Coach Josh Shaw said. "With support from the community and business leaders, this is an opportunity to raise money for equipment needs or facility improvements, whether it is to replace items or purchasing new."

Tee, green and hole marketing opportunities are available for the tournament.
