The Trial & Lynching of Leo Frank, Free Lecture by Marietta Councilman Van Pearlberg

The 1913 murder of 13-year-old Mary Phagan at the National Pencil Factory in Atlanta, GA set the stage for an ambitious prosecutor; the credibility of Negro vs. Caucasian; the resurrection of the KKK; the election of a Senator; the downfall of a Governor; the fate of a “Yankee Jew” and a lifelong secret to be kept by a 14-year-old boy till his 8o’s.

Reform Jewish Congregation Ner Tamid of West Cobb, along with Kennesaw State University’s Hillel Chapter, are proud to present a lecture by Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney for Cobb County Judicial Circuit  & Marietta City Councilman Van Pearlberg chronicling the events from the arrest of Leo M. Frank to his lynching in Marietta, GA in 1915. The free lecture will take place on Saturday, December 10, 2011, 7pm, doors open at 6:30pm, at Kennesaw University’s Museum of History and Holocaust Education, @ KSU Center, 3333 Busbee Drive , Kennesaw, Georgia 30144 .The Museum’s exhibits will be available for viewing after the lecture.
