Creekview Makes Camp Possible for Canton Child

"The money raised by Creekview High School was the most of all participating high schools in the metro Atlanta/North Georgia areas," MDA executive director Angela Brown said.

It costs $800 to send one child to the Muscular Dystrophy Association weeklong Walk N' Roll summer camp, but Canton's Dylan Schopmann attended free of charge thanks to the fundraising efforts of students.

Earlier this year, the to send local kids to Walk N' Roll, which was held July 1-6.

"The money raised by Creekview High School was the most of all participating high schools in the metro Atlanta/North Georgia areas," MDA executive director Angela Brown said.

The Beta Club, under the leadership of president Nicole Torralba, held a walkathon as part of MDA's annual "Shamrocks Against Dystrophy" campaign and secured sponsorships from the Kajima Foundation Inc. to raise the $2,400.

"MDA is so fortunate to have the support of Cherokee County, specifically, Creekview High School who has joined our fight to end muscle diseases," Brown said.
