Cherokee Schools Land On AP Honor Roll

The Cherokee County School District is one of three systems in Georgia to make the national list.

The Cherokee County School District has released the results of its 2013 Advanced Placement Report.

The report indicates the district is one of three across Georgia to land on the Advanced Placement Honor Roll, a list of over 450 systems across the country that's "achieved the greatest success in maintaining or improving the rate of students passing the exams while also increasing student participation."

The AP Program allows high school students who score a 3, 4or 5 on an AP exam to earn college credit in high school and, subsequently, to exempt those courses in college.
