Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency (CRPA) will open registration for a spring and a winter sport within the next three weeks, according to the agency's website.
Registration for the Wiffle Ball Winter Classic will begin on Feb. 4 and last until March 1, with the tournament beginning on March 8. The double-elimination tournament will see teams of four to eight players swinging for the fences without the inconvenience of running the bases. It will cost $50 to register your team at the Cherokee County Recreation Center in Woodstock.

For those who feel more at home on the hardwood than the diamond, registration will open on Feb. 11 for adult spring basketball. Teams must be assembled before registration and it will cost $500 to register a team. Registration will end on April 5, and the season will begin the week of April 15. There are three leagues available-a Monday league, a Tuesday league and a Thursday league for women.
