Cherokee Names Teacher of the Year

Etowah High's John Murnan was surprised with the Cherokee Teacher of the Year award from members of the Cherokee County School District today.

's John Murnan is the 2012-13 Cherokee County Teacher of the Year. He will advance to the Georgia Teacher of the Year competition.

Murnan, along with the rest of the , will be recgonized at the Dec. 8 Cherokee County Teacher of the Year Banquet at .
