Each year, about one-third of the district's schools are invited to select a Golden Apple teacher, who is chosen by his/her peers for outstanding contributions to education.

This year’s ceremony was held at E.T. Booth Middle School on Tuesday, May 13, and each winner was presented with a marble apple.
