• Young Marine Sgt. Maj. Nathan James Baker received the Young Marines’ Jimmie Trimble Scholarship Award, which was presented at a black tie event on Saturday, Nov. 9 hosted by the American Veterans Center in Washington D.C. Baker belongs to the General Raymond G. Davis Young Marines unit of Metro Atlanta in Canton.
  
• Elizabeth Canterbury of Canton, a senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in business and technology at Bob Jones University, has been selected to appear in the 2014 edition of "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges."
