Battle of the Brains at Etowah High School

It's teachers versus students at Friday's "Brain Drain" academic bowl fundraiser.

Etowah High School's teachers and students will need to have their thinking caps firmly attached Friday night.

The nationally ranked Etowah Academic Bowl team will be squaring off against some of their own teachers in topics such as pop culture, trivia, and the standard slate of academic subjects in the "Brain Drain Academic Bowl" in the school auditorium.

Tickets for the bowl will cost $3 for adults and $2 for students; the money raised by the bowl will help pay for the renovation of classrooms at Chapman Intermediate School. The classrooms will be transformed into STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) friendly rooms once the Chapman campus is absorbed by Etowah.
