More than 75 admissions representatives from two-year colleges, four-year universities, technical colleges and the Georgia Student Finance Commission are expected to attend. 3. Canton-Sixes Patch is looking for its next Prep Athlete of the Week. was the last winner on Sept. 15. (There was no winner on Sept. 22.) Submit your nominations, along with a photo and 200 words on why that person deserves the award, to rodney.thrash@patch.com by 4 p.m. every Monday. Nominate someone as often as you'd like.

4. In addition to Prep Athlete of the Week, Canton-Sixes Patch is looking for its next . was last week's winner. If you think your child, student or protege is worthy of this honor, nominate them as many times as you'd like. The winner's photograph and mini-bio will appear on the site at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

5. Register today for the American Red Cross blood drive in Canton. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 4, the Canton Optimist Club, Georgia Power and other entities will sponsor the drive at .
