Video: 'Moving Into the Digital Future'

Senate Bill 289, the digital learning bill sponsored by Georgia Senate Majority Leader Chip Rogers (R-Woodstock), passed on Thursday.

In his weekly video legislative update, Georgia Senate Majority Leader Chip Rogers (R-Woodstock) talks about the digital learning bill that passed the Senate on Thursday by a vote of 36-15.

What will the digital learning bill do?

Beginning with the 2013-2014 ninth grade class, students will have to complete at least one online learning course prior to graduation. And by the 2014-2015 school year, students will take end-of-the-year course exams online to minimize the opportunity for cheating.
