Sewer Improvements To Close Canton Streets
The city starting next week will close a portion of Academy Street and Archer Street the following week to replace "undersized" sewer lines.
Improvements to the city of Canton's sewer system will result in the closer of parts of two streets.
Academy Street between West Main Street and Archer Street will be closed from Monday, June 16 to Friday June 20.
Archer Street between Academy Street and South Church Street will also be closed from Monday, June 23 and Friday, June 27.
Canton Utilities Manager David Hatabian said the city will be replacing the "undersized" sewer lines that runs along both Academy and Archer streets sidewalk.
They will then connect existing sewer lines to the new ones, he added.
Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes.
