Rogers to Talk Economic Development

Today, Georgia Senate Majority Leader Chip Rogers (R-Woodstock), Canton Mayor Gene Hobgood, Cherokee County Board of Commissioners Chairman Buzz Ahrens and Cherokee County Economic Development Director Misti Martin will address the importance of opportunity zones in Cherokee County during a morning press conference. Areas designated as opportunity zones are eligible for tax credits and other incentives in exchange for economic development. Rogers' press conference will begin at 10 a.m. at the Cherokee County Airport.
