Obama: Osama bin Laden Dead
"Justice has been done," President Barack Obama said in late-night press conference.
The man thought to be the mastermind behind the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks is dead, President Barack Obama said in a hastily called press conference tonight.
"Tonight I can report to the American people and to the world that the United States has conducted an operation that killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of Al-Qaida and a terrorist who's responsible for the murder of thousands of innocent men, women and children," he said sometime after 11:30 p.m.
Obama said bin Laden was killed in a U.S. operation in Pakistan.
