New Canton Council Members Will Take Office Tonight

Residents Sandy McGrew, Bill Grant and John Rust will be sworn in tonight by Judge Marion T. Pope.

Three new faces will formally take office before tonight's Canton City Council meeting.

Sandy McGrew, Bill Grant and John Rust will all be sworn in tonight by Judge Marion T. Pope before the meeting gets underway. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. at Canton City Hall.

All three residents will replace outgoing members Bob Rush, Bill Bryan and John Beresford, respectively. The three men all decided not to seek re-election to second terms. 

Council members will discuss amending an ordinance to allow the sale of growlers, wine shops and to establish ancillary tasting licenses.
