Many Georgia Post Offices Will Be Open on Presidents Day

The U.S. Postal Service couldn’t make all of its appointed rounds during last week’s snow storm, so it won't take Presidents Day completely off.

The service announced in a press release that 27 post offices in north Georgia will be open on Monday, Feb. 17, even though it’s a federal holiday. Locations will have a "red-vest lobby assistant" to help customers.

The offices will be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

If you really need to mail something on Monday, you have some options, but you might have to drive a distance. Here are the closest locations open near Canton and Cherokee County:
