City Agrees to Reservoir Bond Amendment

6:45 p.m.: Bellfra LLC is interested in donating 22.7 acres of land above the Bluffs to the city. The entity has to go through the process of getting it zoned commercial. It's not clear what the city would use the property for. "By them donating that, they would get certain tax credits," Hobgood said. Meeting adjourned.

6:41 p.m.: Mayor Gene Hobgood said graffiti is cropping up around the city. "There's some action planned to try to stop this situation. It's pure vandalism. This is Canton, GA." Hobgood said this isn't New York, where you'd expect to see this. "Everybody's eyes can pinpoint this, I think, and really make a difference," he said. One remedy would be making the perpetrators clean up their artwork.

6:17 p.m.: Community development director Ken Patton said the proposal would subdivide the property into two parcels so each property owner could make roadway improvements to their respective lots. Bojangles' Famous Chicken 'n Biscuits is also requesting a drive-thru window and a right turn lane along the front of the property.
