Jerguson Announces Re-Election Campaign

The District 21 representative will run again for another term in the state House of Representatives.

State Rep. Sean Jerguson (R-Holly Springs) said Wednesday that he plans to run for re-election.

Jerguson currently is the District 22 representative, but his district's number is being changed to 21 under this year's redistricting. He will face Scot Turner in the Republican primary.

"Too much is at stake, and our conservative values need a leader that will stand bold in the face of opposition," Jerguson said in a press release. "I have a track record of standing up for small business and our family values. As your state representative, I have used my experience to deliver conservative reforms to cut government spending, lower taxes, and get our families back to work. The task is not complete, there is much to be done."

Jerguson was first elected in 2006. He previously served on the Holly Springs City Council as a member, mayor pro tempore and acting mayor.
