House District 21 Candidates Continue Qualifying

There are four candidates on the ballot for the Jan. 8 special election.

The list of candidates for the vacant House District 21 seat is expanding, including representatives from both major political parties.

The seat was vacated by Sean Jerguson on Dec. 5 so that he could run for the Senate seat of former Sen. Chip Rogers, who has retired from politics to persue a career in public broadcasting.

A special election will be held on Jan. 8, 2013, to choose the next representative for House District 21, which includes Holly Springs and parts of Canton and Woodstock.
