GDOT Plans Maintenance on Highways 20, 372
The Georgia Department of Transportation will be deep patching deteriorating asphalt on both highways next week.
Two state highways that run through Cherokee County will be the site of some maintenance work next week.
Weather permitting, the Georgia Department of Transportation will begin repairing and deep patching deteriorating asphalt spots on both S.R. 20 and S.R. 372 between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 24 through Thursday, March 27.
Deep patching repairs settled, cracking and dislodged pavement, and is considered less expensive than other methods, GDOT said in a news release.
