Etowah River Park Tops Canton Agenda

The Canton City Council meets tonight at 6 p.m. at City Hall.

The Canton City Council will hear an update on its Etowah River Park during its meeting tonight.

The meeting starts at 6 p.m. at Canton City Hall.

While the summer yielded higher than average rainfall, construction continued at the park, which is located on the banks of Etowah River at the end of Brown Industrial Parkway.

"The bridge is in place, the boardwalk is progressing and amphitheater construction is underway," according to a posting on the city's website.

The park is slated to open in spring 2014.
