City Manager: Canton Payday Mistake No Big Deal

4. Reconstruction of Land Road isn't the only transportation project going on in Cherokee County.

  • Water Tank Road is closed to through traffic at the western intersection with SR 20 until Oct. 20 for intersection reconstruction and realignment, the Georgia Department of Transportation said. Call 770-387-3680 for information on detours.
  • Weather permitting, GDOT maintenance crews will mow the roadsides of SR 92 and SR 140 until Thursday from 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
