Cherokee Women's GOP Elects New Board

Joan Conkey will serve as president and Judy Griffin will serve as vice president of the Cherokee County Republican Women's organization.

A slew of new women have been chosen to run the Cherokee County Republican Women's organization. 

The group has selected its new officers and board members for 2014.

  • President Joan Conkey
  • Vice President Judy Griffin
  • Past President Linda Parker
  • Recording Secretary Ethel Galyon  
  • Communications Secretary and Membership Chair Diane Rugg
  • Treasurer Pat Wallace

Also serving on the board are: Deana Tepsic, special projects chair; Linda Parker, nominating committee chair; and Charlice Byrd, parliamentarian.

The organization, which was recently certified by the National and Georgia Federations of Republican Women, plans to implement programs to inform the public about the 2014 elections. 

Membership to the group is open to all Republicans in Cherokee County.
