Cherokee Commissioners Will Discuss Ga. 20 Gas Station

The city of Canton has received a request to annex and rezone property along Highway 20 to build a convenience store with gas sales.

A request for the city of Canton to annex and rezone property along Cumming Highway to accommodate a convenience store with gas sales will be reviewed by the Cherokee County Commission during its meeting tonight.

The commissioners will review the annexation notice from the city during its meet tonight at 6 p.m. The meeting will be preceded by a work session, which gets underway at 3 p.m. Both meetings will be held at the county administration building in Canton.

Canton has been petitioned to annex and rezone property at 2333 Cumming Highway to C-2 general commercial, which could allow the operation of a convenience store with gas sales.

The property is located directly across from Canton Marketplace and is situated just west of the Brooke Park subdivision.
